President Barack Obama has indirectly attacked Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, saying he knows very little about foreign policy  and not much when it comes to “the world generally.” Obama was referring to Trump’s latest proposal to arm Japan and South Korea with their own nuclear weapons to fight it out with North Korea and China themselves. Trump believes America is not a great nation any longer and needs to sit it out and count the pennies while the rest of the world sort out their own problems, including nuclear proliferation and such other important worldly matters.

The state of New Mexico have introduced a new law that protects children from being forced to take psychiatric drugs from the government, in defiance to the federal government’s plan to conduct mandatory mental health screening for all teenagers.  Despite the big push by the Obama administration to force ‘depression screening’ on all U.S. teenagers, New Mexico’s refusal to implement the program may inspire other states to follow suit.

While The Donald may come across as 'shooting from the hip', it appears based on this 1990 interview with Playboy that Trump has been thinking about the decline of America, the weakness and corruption of government, and the impact of foreign (Chinese, Mexican, and Japanese) trade practices on the average joe. As he says, "I don’t want to be President. I’m one hundred percent sure. I’d change my mind only if I saw this country continue to go down the tubes."

Earlier his week, California paved the way for a $15/hour minimum wage, in a move that essentially communicated the following message: “..to hell with economics.”

The living wage issue is one of the most controversial debates playing out in America today and it goes right to the heart of partisan politics.

China have invoked Article 9 of the Sino-Russian Treaty of Friendship (FCT) notifying Russia that they have begun offensive/defensive military movements to protect national interests – including the deployment of a flotilla of attack submarines to the west coast of America.  China’s announcement comes just one day after President Xi Jinping warned President Obama that the two countries were perilously close to war: “China will firmly safeguard the sovereignty and related rights in the South China Sea and will not accept any freedom of navigation as an excuse to undermine China’s sovereignty
