At one point in time in America, living at home with mom and dad after crossing out of your teenage years and into your 20s was embarrassing and something that was generally avoided at all costs. At least one Kutztown University professor offered students extra credit Tuesday to participate in a rally against the GOP tax plan.
“Please join your faculty as we rally against the GOP Tax Bill that has serious implications to you and on Higher Education. This is an opportunity to gain additional extra credit,” the email states, with a bolded subject line of “Additional Extra Credit Opportunity!”
Individual Oxford colleges – there are thirty-eight altogether - have issued bonds in the past, but this will be a first for the ancient University as a whole. Timed to perfection for its upcoming bond issue, Moody’s today assigned a “AAA” credit rating, with a stable outlook, to the 900-year old institution.
In light of the ongoing wave of violent crime in Baltimore, school officials in nearby Carroll County have been forced to halt school-related trips to the city - including a marching band’s scheduled performance in the Mayor’s Christmas Parade this weekend - citing "escalating violence."
