A state of emergency has been declared in Michigan as 100,000 of Flint city residents drank contaminated water that they say is causing their hair to fall out. The reason for contamination has been blamed on inadequate chemical treatment of water that contained lead leached from old pipes in 2014. A data buoy located in the ocean just off the coast of Oregon has indicated that a possible large earthquake could be about to strike the west coast of America.  The data indicates that the earthquake could strike the Cascadia Subduction Zone – an area where a magnitude 9.0 earthquake last struck in 1700.
