Is a Romney endorsement for Kasich ahead of the critical Tuesday Ohio primary a kiss of death? Perhaps.
Moments ago, the WSJ reported that Mitt Romney is planning to endorse John Kasich later today in Ohio, citing Kasich.
This follows a CBS report that Mitt Romney will hit the campaign trail Monday with John Kasich, CBS News' Chief White House correspondent Major Garrett confirms.
The Ohio and Florida primaries are tomorrow, but the prospects of the respective “favorite sons” in these states couldn’t be more different. According to the most recent NBC and CBS News polls, Kasich is either leading by several points or tied with Trump for the lead in Ohio, while Rubio trails Trump by more than twenty points in Florida and in the CBS poll even falls behind Cruz into third place at 21%.
Amid the maelstrom of Sunday's political show machinations over Trump's rallies, one awkward fact remains - The Donald's lead increases. The latest NBC/Marist polls show Trump 'swamping' Rubio in his home state of Florida (43% to 21%), a solid lead in Illinois (34% to Cruz's 25%), and is closing the gap on Kasich in Ohio (33% to Kasich's 39%).
Amid confusion over the cancellation (due to more security concerns) of today's rally in Ohio - since denied by Trump campaign officials - the finger of blame for last night's violent protests is wending its way through the mainstream media.

The question is - how is this in anyway helping 'the establishment' beat Trump? It merely strengthens (maybe) a 3rd place "loser" leaving the vote split still.
