Armenia: Fresh Hostilities In Nagorno-Karabakh Could Lead To Full-Scale War

Armenia has threatened Azerbaijan with “full scale war” amid fresh casualties in renewed hostilities over Azerbaijan’s breakaway region of Nagorno-Karabakh. The conflict could escalate as Azerbaijan threatens to expand its operations along the front line after the death of some of its soldiers fighting separatist forces, while Armenia threatens with full scale war and the recognition of the territory as an independent state. Update: Karabakh’s Defense Ministry has been ordered to cease fire and a truce has been agreed according to its press service.

CIA Agent Admits Obama Created ISIS To Invade Syria

According to a new report by a former CIA agent, President Obama created ISIS as an excuse to invade Syria and oust Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.  In 2012 the CIA proposed a detailed plan to topple the Syrian leader which was vetoed by Obama. Former CIA operative, Doug Laux, told NBC News that the plan had been met with inexplicable opposition from the White House at the time.

France Deploy Armed Guards To Patrol Trains

France have announced the deployment of armed security forces dressed as civilians to passenger trains in an attempt to bolster security in the country in the aftermath of the Brussels attacks.  Guillaume Pepy, head of the national railway operator SNCF, said that 3,000 armed plain-clothes officers will patrol trains and are authorised to shoot if necessary. Presstv.com reports: At present, guards patrolling the trains wear navy-blue uniforms embellished with the company logo, and carry visible weapons.

Turkish Leader Rejects ‘Lessons in Democracy’

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has criticised the West for attempting to give Turkey “lessons in democracy” amid increasing criticism from the U.S. and Europe that Turkey is suppressing press freedoms under his regime.  “Those who attempt to give us lessons in democracy and human rights must first contemplate their own shame,” Erdogan said. Middleeasteye.net reports: His comments came after US President Barack Obama said Turkey’s approach towards the media was taking it “down a path that would be very troubling”.
