Sometimes We Learn The Most About Ourselves From Our Opponents

This is a North Korean film with English voiceover that examines the role of propaganda in the United States and the Western world generally to keep the population distracted, ignorant, and brainwashed.

North Korea is the most demonized country on earth, more so even than Iran, Russia, and Syria. Americans are likely to dismiss the film as North Korean propaganda. However, the film is worth watching, because it shows how we are perceived by other people, and it is not flattering.

Any time we hear the term "privatize" coming from the usual suspects in Washington, DC we should immediately be suspicious. When this word is used, there's usually precious little actual privatization going on.

Thus, we should regard the Trump administration's proposed plan to "privatize" the war in Afghanistan with extreme amounts of skepticism.

Monetary policy influences all financial markets as well as the cycles in the economy. No president wants to have to run for re-election when the stock market and economy are turning down.

A US F-18 fighter jet crash landed at Bahrain's international airport Saturday, causing the complete closure of the island's main commercial flight hub. Photos and brief video footage quickly posted online shows a badly damaged but intact jet with its tail on the ground and nose in the air in a gravel area located completely off the runway.
