As Ted Carpenter writes on Antiwar.com, it sure seems like the Biden Administration is doing all it can to prolong the war in Ukraine. Sending weapons that have little chance of making a big difference in the outcome only keeps the fighting and killing going strong, and the Administration has shown no interest in pushing a quick diplomatic end to the war. On the contrary, Biden openly calling for regime change and a war crimes trial makes diplomacy nearly impossible. Why prolong the fighting?

Why hasn’t the United States Congress sent to President Joe Biden legislation to end the US government’s war on marijuana already? We are over four years into about two-thirds of Americans supporting marijuana legalization and majority support being reached among Republicans. Yet, the Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives and Senate keeps failing to take the steps needed for Congress to deliver legalization legislation to the president.

As many of my readers already know I am not the biggest fan of Vladimir Putin, and for good reason. The war in Ukraine is not a factor; rather, it’s Putin’s duplicity, or at the very least it’s the manner in which he has been presented to conservatives. The notion that Putin is “anti-globalist” has been circulating within the alternative media for at least a decade now and frankly there’s not an ounce of truth to it.

Many Congress members in Washington, DC are loudly proclaiming their support for the United States government continuing and even increasing its support for the Ukraine government’s fight against Russia. In contrast, former US House of Representatives member Ron Paul is arguing, as he did when he was a member of the House, that the US government should mind its own business in regard to Ukraine. Interviewed this week by host Michelle Makori at Kitco News, Paul presented arguments for the US government pursuing a noninterventionist course.
