"Triple Threat Thursday" Starts Off With A Whimper: Markets On Edge Ahead Of Key Event Risks

So far "Triple Threat Thursday" has been a dud. In the day with the greatest concentration of market-moving risk events so far in 2017, market action - at least for the time being - has been a whimper, with European stocks and US futures modestly higher ahead of the ECB’s rate decision and Comey's testimony (which has now been fully publicized, removing much of the risk), as the U.K. voting is underway. Asian stocks fell led by a decline in Japan as the yen first strengthened, only to tumble later in the session.

The 2017 Global Peace Index was released last week and it found that the world has actually become a slightly safer place during the past year. Democratic Congressman Drafts Articles Of Impeachment: "The Facts Are Indisputable... This Is Obstruction Of Justice"

Texas Democrat Al Green says he’s readying the paperwork to officially call for President Donald Trump’s impeachment, a notable escalation from three weeks ago, when he first called for the president’s removal on the floor of the House.

As the Hill reports, it’s unclear when Green will officially introduce the articles he’s currently drafting. It’s also unclear if he’ll have any co-sponsors, though Green has not been alone in his calls for impeaching Trump (he has somehow beaten California Democrat Maxine Waters to the punch).
