North Korea Fires First Ballistic Missile Since Trump Took Office

North Korea has reportedly fired a ballistic missile, in the first test since Donald Trump took office as US president. The ballistic missile was launched on Sunday morning and reached an altitude of about 550 kilometers, according to a South Korean military source. Japanese officials said that the missile did not reach its waters. Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said the test was “absolutely intolerable” while President Trump assured the visiting Japanese PM that Washington was committed to the security of its key Asian ally.
