There’s a whole lot of discussion in the preparedness world about how to get ready for an impending collapse, but the information thins out once we get to the topic of rebuilding post-collapse. Probably because the majority of people have never personally experienced such an event and they don’t really know what can be done. That’s okay, we can still look back at recent history for examples of what to do (or what not to do).
Ideally, every prepper should have some level of organized group ready to go before a national crisis ever happens. Without community, you will not survive. This is reality. That said, it’s often difficult these days to determine who to work with, especially because preppers have been trained by less intelligent survival media to “trust no one”, leaving them isolated from each other and easier to pick off once a collapse does occur.
Post-collapse organization may be the only option for many people; but how can this be done quickly, efficiently and safely? You’re far more likely to find trustworthy compatriots before collapse, but what about after? In the next issue of the Wild Bunch I’ll give my ideas on what the country will probably look like, how people will behave and how to find the right people to work with to rebuild society.
