The people:
Grammie and gramps can travel to our house on holidays now because Nana passed away in October. Grammie cared for her for ten years.
Occasion: Day after Thanksgiving. Girls have stuff out to make Christmas ornaments
Food: Mornay sauce with turkey over yesterday’s toasted dinner rolls with bacon on top. My version of a hot brown.

That’s Mama Jenny shying away when she realized I was not pleased that she had jumped up to check out my dinner while my back was turned. She’s really a sweet old dear, going on sixteen. In her misspent youth she gave us four wonderful kittens, of whom just one is left now. She is shamefully indulged, but not to the point of eating on the table!
