California Tax Revenues Miss Projections By $1 Billion As Residents Flee The State

Tax revenues for the state of California have come in nearly a billion dollars below projections, which is causing Governor Jerry Brown to amend his $171 billion spending plan that was just proposed in January.

As Reuters reports, California's tax revenues came in $869 million less than forecast for the first four months of the year. Governor brown is now expected to cut some of the proposed spending increases in education, healthcare and infrastructure as a result of the miss.

Dark Matter Finally Detected By Scientists

Astronomers at Stanford University in California have finally found evidence for the existence of elusive dark matter – something that was, until recently, considered just hypothetical.  Dark matter accounts for approximately 27% of the mass and energy in the observable universe – and has remained invisible to scientists until now. What’s the matter with California? I was shocked last week to see the Latino mob riot outside a Donald Trump rally in Orange County, destroying a police car.  Excerpt from the LA Times:

“I’m protesting because I want equal rights for everybody, and I want peaceful protest,” said 19-year-old Daniel Lujan, one of hundreds in a crowd that appeared to be mostly Latinos in their late teens and 20s.

“I knew this was going to happen,” Lujan added. “It was going to be a riot. He deserves what he gets.”
