Israel Bombing Targets Inside Gaza After Hamas Missile Intercept

After a day of escalating violence in Israel and the Palestinian territories which left at least two Palestinians dead and dozens injured in clashes with police and Israeli soldiers, Israel is on high alert with public alarm warnings sounding across multiple communities in the south after at least three rockets were from fired from the Gaza Strip Friday evening.

Hamas-Linked Group Takes Credit For Rockets Fired On Israel After Trump Speech

On Thursday, the Palestinian armed group al-Nasser Salah al-Deen Brigades announced in an official statement that its fighters fired several rockets from Gaza strip targeting Israeli settlements north of it. The statement was released by al-Nasser Salah al-Deen news agency “al-Buraq” and the armed group stressed that this is only the first response to Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and warned that more will follow.

Multiple Targets Across Gaza Strip Hit By Israeli Airstrikes

Once again, Israeli warplanes have carried out a number of airstrikes on multiple locations across the Gaza Strip. The attacks were reportedly in retaliation after a rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip into an unpopulated area in the occupied territories. Press TV reports: According to al-Aqsa TV, Israeli jets targeted areas to the west of the Dayr al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, and an empty patch of agricultural land to the east of Gaza City in the early hours of Thursday morning. Israeli F16 jets also bombed the Shejaiya area, reportedly resulting in power cuts across the region.

Israel Sprays Pesticides Along Gaza Border

Israel have begun an aggressive pesticide spraying campaign along the Gaza border between 25 December and 5 January, despite claims by Palestinian farmers that it damages crops and harms the health of those nearby.  The Palestinian ministry of agriculture has condemned the spraying by Israeli occupation authorities, and have warned local residents to expect a loss of crops as a result.
