U.S. Say They Plan To Round Up And Detain Russians For New Year

The US plans on detaining and possibly extraditing 22 Russian citizens around the world, in violation of international law.  Pravdareport.com reports: The corresponding orders have been issued by the US authorities, Konstantin Dolgov, Foreign Ministry Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law reported. ‘Law enforcement agencies of the US make use of unlawful methods of its extraterritorial law application to the Russian citizens in the third countries.

Elderly Woman Shot Dead By Husband At Care Home Over Christmas

An elderly man has been arrested following a Christmas shooting at a care home in Essex. The man is suspected of killing his wife, an 81-year old resident at a care home in Walton-on-the-Naze. Rita King was shot dead with a revolver at De La Mer House in Naze Park Road just three days after Christmas. Essex police have launched a murder investigation.   Wharf reports: The alleged attacker was Mrs King’s 86-year-old husband Ronald, according to reports. Essex police confirmed the gunman and Mrs King were related and that he had been staying at the care home.

Prince Charles Allowed To Legally Launch Nuclear Weapons

A new academic study conducted by Plymouth University has revealed that Prince Charles can legally set off nuclear explosions and be immune from prosecution.  John Kirkhope, a research fellow at Plymouth University, led the study and found that UK legislation and government archives revealed the extent of legal privileges afforded to Charles. Indianexpress.com reports: He discovered that the Prince of Wales is exempt from sanction over a range of laws, including the UK’s Data Protection Act, and enjoys significant protection for his property compared with other landowners.

Two People Shot Dead In Latest Chicago Police Shooting

A 19-year-old was fatally shot in the early hours of Saturday morning when a Chicago police officer discharged his weapon at the scene of a disturbance in West Garfield Park on Chicago’s West Side. abc7 reports: The shooting happened at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday near West Erie Street and North Kilpatrick Avenue, officials said. One of the victims was 19-year-old Quintonio LeGrier, who she said was in college studying engineering, but had a mental illness, said his mother, Janet Cooksey.
