A confusing voter registration issue could cost Bernie Sanders potential votes in the upcoming California primaries. The far-right American Independent Party has its name on California ballots and independent voters wishing to vote for the Democratic presidential hopeful might have inadvertently registered with the extremist anti-liberal party. They need to change their registration forms soon otherwise their votes will not be counted. Despite the obscurity of the far-right group, currently 3% of Californians are registered with the American Independent Party (AIP).

How poor have the election forecasters been this year?  It is a topic many are discussing given the large number of upsets we've had during the Primaries.  For example, statistician Nate Silver (who started the campaign season proclaiming Trump had <2% chance of being nominated) by March 1 predicted with 94% probability that Trump would win Alaska (he lost).

Everybody remembers learning about one of the central rallying cries of the American Revolution: “No taxation without representation!” Yes, the settlers in early America thought the idea of being forced to pay taxes without having a say in the decision-making of their overlords was very problematic.
