Leaked Hillary Clinton emails from 2012 reveal that Google had sought to help insurgents overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assad.  Jared Cohen, Google’s head of “Google Ideas”, liaised with Clinton on how Google could get involved in helping the U.S. government to overthrow Assad. “Please keep close hold, but my team is planning to launch a tool … that will publicly track and map the defections in Syria and which parts of the government they are coming from,” Cohen wrote in a July 2012 email to the Clinton team.

Austral Autumn Causes Lights Out At The South Pole

Sunday March 20 marks the start of austral autumn which means it is goodnight from the South Pole for the next six months. As the sun sets in the South Pole, researchers at NOAA’s South Pole Atmospheric Baseline Observatory will not see any light for the next six months. The U.S. Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station is so cold that even during summer it has few visitors. Extreme cold and high altitude makes the observatory isolated from the outside world. It’s last light at #SouthPole today.

Domino’s Unveil Robot Pizza Delivery Guys

Domino’s have joined the Artificial Intelligence (AI) bandwagon by announcing plans to replace their pizza delivery drivers with robots.  The pizza company revealed their idea for “delivery-person-free-future” on their website, saying: “Imagine a world in which your pizza is delivered by a driverless vehicle. A world in which you collect your piping hot Pepperoni Pizza and Garlic Bread from the compartment of a four wheeled robot named DRU.

Two Comets Will Come “Dangerously Close” To Earth On Monday

Next week the Earth will experience one of the closest encounters ever recorded with two passing comet’s that scientists claim will fly “dangerously close” to the planet.  Two twin emerald comets are due to fly past Earth starting on Monday March 21, followed by its sibling the next day. Dailymail.co.uk reports: Nasa astronomers say these two objects will come ‘remarkably close,’ with the latter comet approaching 2.2 million miles from Earth, the third closest flyby in recorded history. The first comet to pass by is known as 252P/LINEAR.
