Last month the Shoshone River, near Yellowstone National Park, suddenly and without warning started boiling. The river changed color and started to emit a sulfuric odor on March 25th. Geologists and other experts believe that a portion of the river located near Cody, Wyoming had started to boil and that a new Yellowstone vent opened up. The boiling river has cooled down, at least for now. However, earthquake activity in and around the Yellowstone supervolcano is reportedly increasing.

Dinosaurs had lost their ability to evolve and were in decline millions of years before a meteorite smashed into the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico and finished them off. New scientific research suggests that a long-standing theory about the demise of the dinosaurs might be wrong.

A UK Judge has refused to jail a teenager for stabbing the paedophile who abused her as a child and has even offered to pay her court fine. At Bradford Crown Court yesterday, Judge Jonathan Durham Hall QC told the 15-year-old schoolgirl: “It would be a disgrace to send a survivor like you to prison”,  despite the fact she had attacked the 56 year old man in his own home. The girl was 14 when she used a large kitchen knife to stab the man who had sexually assaulted her when she was eight-years-old.
