Facebook has been cited as the prime reason for the recent American recession.  Facebook has spread faster than the ebola virus infecting even users without computers.  Children grow up in a world defined by Facebook.  This aggressive strain F1B1 is reprogramming human beings down to the last strand in their DNA.  As the previous generation had television programming, now we have Facebook programming.  

A wide range of stock market and sector indices appear to be forming large and menacing topping-patterns.

To quote Jason Zweig’s “The Devil's Financial Dictionary”, he reminds us that "technical analysis is a method of predicting the future price of a financial asset by looking at its past prices". So far so good, it is doubtful that anyone would disagree with this description. However, the entry goes on to say that technical analysis "is about as reliable as attempting to forecast tomorrow’s weather by studying yesterday’s".

As regular readers are by now acutely aware, Europeans are growing increasingly frustrated with officials’ response to the bloc’s worst refugee crisis since World War II.

To be sure, some countries were skeptical from the very beginning. Take Hungary for example, whose firebrand PM Viktor Orban built a series of migrant-be-gone fences late last summer and defended them with tear gas and water cannons.

I see a decline in inflation breakevens and the continuing flattening of the yield curve as being a very worrisome signal about the FOMC’s credibility.

There is distinct lack in the Fed’s ability and/or willingness to achieve its mandated objectives.
