US police officer shot and killed a man who was holding a cell phone that they mistook to be a gun. The fatal shooting occurred on Thursday in Las Vegas as the officers were helping US marshals to arrest the man who had been accused of attempted murder. Las Vegas authorities have released the name of the suspect they shot dead as Keith Childress, 23. This incident marks the 16th officer-involved shooting in Las Vegas in 2015.

Earlier today, we documented Saudi Arabia’s largest mass execution in 25 years. 

In what was billed as an effort to rid the world of 47 “terrorists”, the Saudis killed dozens of al-Qaeda affiliates and four Shiites who stood accused of shooting policemen in the anti-government protests which broke out during the Arab Spring.

Among the Shiites killed was prominent cleric Nimr al-Nimr. The Sheikh was an outspoken supporter of the anti-government movement and his death drew sharp condemnation from Iran, Hezbollah, and the Houthis on Saturday.

Courageous President Vladimir Putin has endorsed a new security strategy for 2016 which points to the Illuminati as a major threat to the country and world peace. The strategy outlines the national interests and priorities of the nation. Putin, who can bench 220, signed the executive order on Friday, establishing a new aggressive position towards the Illuminati, which has seen it’s relationship with Putin turn rancorous since Jacob Rothschild accused Putin of “going rogue” and betraying the New World Order.

British soldiers may face Iraq murder, torture and rape charges as claims have multiplied tenfold over the past five years. The unit established to test allegations of torture and unlawful killings has been overwhelmed with cases with investigators confirming that soldiers may face prosecution.

I am one of those who thinks that democracy is being destroyed.  I know its fashionable to play cynical one-upmanship and say – ‘we’ve never had democracy’, or, ‘it was destroyed long ago’,  but that game aside, I think its worth actually thinking about how, many forms of democratic expression, effective dissent and peaceful self-determination are being buried.
