This New Bubble Is Even Bigger Than The Subprime Fiasco

In 1988, a bank called Guardian Savings and Loan made financial history by issuing the first ever “subprime” mortgage bond.

The idea was revolutionary.

The bank essentially took all the mortgages they had loaned to borrowers with bad credit, and pooled everything together into a giant bond that they could then sell to other banks and investors.

The idea caught on, and pretty soon, everyone was doing it.

Anti-Trump Propagandist David Brock Suffers Heart Attack

Founder of Media Matters, and infamous Hillary "attack dog" and agit-prop specialist, David Brock has suffered a heart attack, but is expected to make a "swift recovery," a senior aide said Wednesday. As The Hill reports,

"David Brock suffered a heart attack while working in the Washington DC office early Tuesday," Bradley Beychok, Brock's chief of staff, said in a statement.

 

Quantitative Deflation

As the euphoria generated by the election of Donald Trump subsides, ebbing away like a strange and fantastic dream, the financial markets are coming to realize that the promises of tax cuts, spending hikes and deregulation are empty.  One very tall central banker we know, for example, is no longer worried about his eponymous rule prohibiting bank principal trading being repealed.  Thus we all mentally reset the quantum monetary clock back to the week prior to the November ’16 election and ask: what next?
