"He Is Going To Fail": Georges Soros Slams "Would Be Dictator" Trump

Billionaire investor George Soros spoke to Bloomberg TV in Davos, and said the euphoria among stock investors since the victory of President-elect Donald Trump will end as uncertainty takes over.

Talking his book, Soros said that "uncertainty is at a peak and actually uncertainty is the enemy of long-term investment," The chairman of Soros Fund Management added "I don’t think the markets are going to do very well. Right now they’re still celebrating but when reality comes it will prevail."

"When reality comes, it will hurt markets" he warned.

Jewish Trust Sues Deutsche Bank For $3 Billion

Just when it seemed that no more lawsuits are possible for Germany's largest lender, which over the past two years has settled or otherwise paid billions to set aside a barrage of allegations of wrongdoing leading to the bank's suspension of bonuses for most senior bankers, today we learn that Deutsche Bank was sued by a Jewish charitable trust in Florida, alleging that the bank wrongly withheld as much as $3 billion from the heirs to a wealthy German family.

While ECB President Mario Draghi may sound slightly hawkish at tomorrow’s press conference after an unexpectedly strong acceleration in CPI in December and European economic growth modestly picking up, the ECB is set to argue on Thursday that its extra-easy policy stance is still needed to keep the recovery on course. As a result, it is all but certain to leave current monetary policy in place and maintain a promise for lengthy stimulus, having extended its bond-buying program just last month coupled with the tapering (just don't call it a taper) of its bond purchases this year.
