Jonathan Turley’s New Book on Free Speech

You may have read at the Ron Paul Institute website and elsewhere some of Jonathan Turley’s many insightful editorials dealing with current events and the right to free speech. As have many other readers, you likely wanted more — an examination by Turley of free speech that goes much deeper than relatively short editorials allow.

If that is the case, then you are in luck. This week came the publication of Turley’s new book The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage. The book provides just that in-depth examination of free speech.

Check out the United States Libertarian Party’s website for its national convention later this month at which a major focus will be the choosing of the party’s presidential nominee. You see something very peculiar. Up top at the home page is a picture of a portion of presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee Donald Trump’s face. Underneath that is text reading “President Trump to Address Convention.”

Dennis Kucinich Files Ballot Access Petitions for US House Run as an Independent

In January, Dennis Kucinch began his campaign as an independent candidate to return to the United State House of Representatives, seeking to represent an Ohio district that overlaps with the area he represented as a Democrat in the House from 1997 to 2013.

As an independent candidate, Kucinich bypasses the primary and instead is required to submit petition signatures to participate in the November general election. Last week, Kucinich filed petitions signed by over six thousand individuals in order to secure his place on the ballot.
