In the wake of the deadliest mass shooting in American history, the Left has predictably ramped up their calls for stricter gun laws with everyone from Chuck Schumer to Lena Dunham suddenly voicing their 'expertise' on the topic. 

And while Trump enjoyed strong support from the NRA throughout the 2016 campaigning season, he offered a glimmer of hope to gun control advocates this morning saying "we'll be talking about gun laws as time goes by."  Per the Washington Examiner:

On the same day CBS fired one of its network executives, Hayley Geftman-Gold, after she took to social media to explain why she was "not even sympathetic" to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because "country music fans often are Republican," CNN had its own "zen moment" of victim-blaming and stereotyping of innocent concertgoers caught up in the horrific carnage at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival, when during a live broadcast Monday morning, CNN reporter Jeff Zeleny suggested that most of the victims were Trump supporters for the mere fact that they were attend

CBS has fired on of its top lawyers after she took to social media to explain why she was "not even sympathetic" to victims of the Las Vegas shooting because "country music fans often are Republican."

As Fox News reports, Hayley Geftman-Gold, the network's now-former vice president and senior counsel, took to Facebook after a gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas, killing at least 58 people and sending more than 500 others to hospitals.

While there are still relatively few details about the man responsible for the deadliest mass shooting in US history, or his motive to kill at least 50 people and injure over 400 people, here is what we know so far, courtesy of the Telegraph and other public data sources.

Update 4 (7:36am): Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said Stephen Paddock, the dead gunman, is believed to have checked into the Mandalay Bay Hotel as a guest. He said: "We've located numerous firearms within the room that he occupied." Lombardo said officers had confronted Paddock on the 32nd floor across the street from the concert. As noted earlier, he also said that authorities are confident they have located 62-year-old Marilou Danley, shown below, who was wanted as a person of interest as Paddock's travelling companion.
