Former President Barack Obama granted the NSA special powers shortly before leaving office that would ensure the agency could “take down Trump”. According to a January story in the New York Times, Obama mysteriously expanded the National Security Agency’s powers to intercept personal communications of the President – something he had never been victim of himself: The new rules significantly relax longstanding limits on what the N.S.A. may do with the information gathered by its most powerful surveillance operations, which are largely unregulated by American wiretapping laws.

An NSA whistleblower claims that the National Security Agency are illegally monitoring President Donald Trump’s phone calls in order to oust him from the White House. William Binney, the architect of the NSA’s surveillance program, claims the agency is actively monitoring Trump’s every move, despite the fact that it is illegal to do so.

National Security Agency (NSA) inspector general George Ellard, an outspoken critic of whistleblower Edward Snowden, personally retaliated against another NSA whistleblower, Adam Zagorin reported at the Project on Government Overreach (POGO) on Thursday.

An intelligence community panel earlier this year found that Ellard had retaliated against a whistleblower, Zagorin writes, in a judgment that has still not been made public.
