Following The New Yorker's report that President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner met with the Russian Ambassador in December, The White House has confirmed the senior administration adviser (along with Mike Flynn) had a previously undisclosed meeting to "establish a line of communications."
An official who worked with the Obama administration has confirmed that the former President sought to deliberately sabotage Donald Trump’s transition to the White House. According to a report published by The Times, Obama instructed White House officials to work on a campaign that involved spreading malicious lies, supplemented with classified but unsubstantiated intelligence, to try and imply that the Trump administration had ties with Russia.

The Kremlin has announced that the Syrian military, backed by the Russian airstrikes, has completed its operation to liberate the ancient city of Palmyra from ISIS. A British-based war monitor said that the Syrian army and Iranian-backed militia advanced inside Palmyra on Thursday as ISIS withdrew completely. The Russian President Vladimir Putin was briefed about the good news from Syria from Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu. Fortifications on the outskirts of the city are being erected to prevent any counter-offensive by the terrorist group.
