At 9:30 AM the "Russian hacking" narrative will take center stage before a hearing of the Senate's Committee on Armed Services which is chaired by the maverick himself, John McCain.  The witnesses appearing before the committee will include James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, Marcel Lettre, Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, and Admiral Michael Rogers, Commander, United States Cyber Command.

Per a note earlier this morning from The Hill, there are five key things to watch for as the hearing progresses:

President-elect Trump has once again started off his day with a tweet storm, this time aimed at Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for being a "head clown" for his defense of the "Obamacare lie." 

Trump says that Democrats fully understand how badly Obamacare has failed but rather than admit their failures and try to find solutions they simply resort to the "typical political thing and blame" others.  He then closes with a plea for democrats and republicans to work together to find a "healthcare plan that really works."

Before this publication went on hiatus last week, one of the last letters I wrote to you in 2016 was about the National Defense Authorization Act and its treasure trove of freedom-killing provisions.

Section 1287, for example, creates a new agency called the “Global Engagement Center”, aka Ministry of Truth.
