Goldman Sachs fired a member of staff after learning that she worked as a porn star in adult videos while a college student. The woman, who went by the name “Shizuka Minamoto” in her acting days, was told that her porn star past violated Goldman Sachs’ code of ethics. The big news here is that Goldman Sachs apparently has a code of ethics. You can imagine the scene. Manager: Shizuka-san, you broke our code of ethics.  You’re fired! Shizuka: Code of ethics? But I joined Goldman Sachs because I heard you didn’t have any ethics. Now we know.

Conspiracy theory may be about to become conspiracy fact once again as the oddly-timed proclamation by the Associated Press last night that Hillary had secured enough delegates to win the Democratic Party nomination may have been planned days in advance...

Saudi Arabia threatened this week to break relations with the United Nations and cut hundreds of millions of dollars in assistance to its humanitarian relief and counterterrorism programs to strong-arm the U.N. into removing Riyadh and its allies from a blacklist of groups that are accused of harming children in armed conflict.

Brazil have begun the process of arresting and prosecuting their top senior politicians for corruption.  According The O Globo daily newspaper, a top Brazilian prosecutor is requesting the country’s highest court to issue arrest warrants for various politicians wanted for obstructing a corruption investigation into state oil company Petrobras. Sandiegouniontribune.com reports: Senate President Renan Calheiros is one of several reportedly being sought by prosecutor Rodrigo Janot. He called the request “disproportional and abusive” in a statement.

Russia have released photographs that show Stonehenge being rebuilt between 1954 to 1958, allegedly on the orders of the British government. For decades official Stonehenge guidebooks have been full of fascinating facts, figures and theories surrounding the world’s most infamous prehistoric monument. What the brochures do not mention, however, is the systematic rebuilding of the 4,000 year old stone circle in the 20th Century. The information is markedly absent from the guidebooks and info-phones used by tourists at the site.
