Suspended former London Mayor Ken Livingstone claims that Hitler supported  Zionism and has offered a ‘free meal’ to anyone who can prove him wrong. He insists that the comments that resulted in his suspension from the Labour party were not anti-Semitic. Politics Home reports: The former Mayor of London has insisted he was making a valid historical observation and was not in any way being anti-Semitic. He has also accused “embittered old Blairites” of deliberately stoking controversy to try to undermine Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership of the party.

Iceland’s anti-establishment Pirate Party continues to lead nationwide polls as the most popular choice for the next elections. The party — whose policies include internet freedom, drug decriminalisation, and open democracy — has consistently led the polls for the last year and, as a result, has secured more funding than any of its rivals.

Donald Trump has cleared the field of competitors for the Republican nomination but has still not won over one particular, and significant, constituency. Legislators have been curiously resistant to his charms, far more so than those with executive branch experience. While this pattern may have no influence on the outcome of the election, it could turn out to have large implications for the balance of powers should he be elected president.
