John Kasich finally dropped out of the race yesterday. Foreign Policy describes his departure this way:

Ohio Gov. John Kasich, the most experienced Republican on national security remaining in the 2016 election, suspended his campaign Wednesday — leaving one of the least experienced presidential candidates to the GOP presidential nomination.

IDF General Slammed For Comparing Nazi Germany With Israel

A high ranking Israeli general has come under fire following remarks where he suggested a comparison between Nazi Germany and present day Israel. His comments made during during a Holocaust Remembrance speech have fueled heated discussion among politicians and on social media. However, the deputy head of the Israeli military has been forced to backtrack after comparing some attitudes in present-day Israel to “nauseating trends” in 1930s Germany.

UK Govt Wage Information Warfare In Support Of Moderate Syrian Rebels

The British government is waging an information war in Syria by funding media operations for some of the so called moderate rebel fighting groups. The campaign is aimed at boosting the reputation of what the UK government calls the “moderate armed opposition”, those fighting the legitimate Syrian government. Thousands of those moderate terrorists crossed the border into Syria this week. Moon Of Alabama reports: The U.S. government, via its CIA, has financed the “moderate” anti-Syrian mercenaries fighting against the legitimate Syrian government with at least $1 billion a year.

It is a comparison that many are making.  Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, is very similar to Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States and icon of modern conservatism.  While these two men share some cosmetic similarities on the surface, in reality they are very different in many ways.  Thus, those that are seeking to conclude that a Trump presidency might follow a similar course to that of Reagan’s are likely to discover a much different outcome than they might expect.
