Iran Releases Video Showing Arrival Of First Russian S-300 Missile System

Over the past year, the US State Department had repeatedly objected to the proposed Russian delivery of S-300 missile defense systems to Iran. One year ago, the issue first came up when as CNN reported then John Kerry raised objections with Moscow over a plan to sell advanced missile defense systems to Iran. The White House said Kerry made the US opposition clear in a phone call to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

Japan Unveils Fingerprint Currency To Replace Cash

Japan have announced plans to unveil a program next year which will see the introduction of fingerprint currency that will eventually replace cash by the year 2020.  The fingerprint currency system will force users to register their fingerprints and other biometric information at locations such as airports, and then when they wish to pay for a service they scan their fingerprint instead of using cash or cards. Pressfortruth.ca reports: The program is going to start with foreign tourists being able to verify their identity by scanning their finger rather than pulling out their wallet.

President Obama identifies what he thinks was his biggest mistake as president:

President Barack Obama said the worst mistake of his presidency was a lack of planning for the aftermath of the 2011 toppling of Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi.

“Probably failing to plan for the day after what I think was the right thing to do in intervening in Libya,” he said in a Fox News interview aired Sunday.

On Sunday Ukrainian prime minister Yatsenyuk resigned, just four days after the Dutch voted against Ukraine joining the European Union. Taken together, these two events are clear signals that the US-backed coup in Ukraine has not given that country freedom and democracy. They also suggest a deeper dissatisfaction among Europeans over Washington’s addiction to interventionism.
