Earlier today, we noted that going into the South Carolina primary, Donald Trump is sitting on a commanding lead not just in the state, where he’s up 17 points, but nationally, where his lead over Ted Cruz is an even larger 20 points.

Perhaps most disconcerting for Cruz, Trump has a nine point national edge among white evangelicals, a voter base the Texas senator should by all rights dominate. Trump is also only 3 points behind Cruz among voters who identify as “very conservative.”

The untimely death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has predictably created a political firestorm.

Ukraine have confirmed that an imminent collapse of its current coalition government is on the cards, amid a Parliamentary vote on whether to hold snap elections in the country.  Ukraine’s largest political party confirmed that they will vote whether the performance of Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk is “unsatisfactory” before arranging a general election. Theglobeandmail.com reports: If the government loses, lawmakers need 150 signatures in parliament to hold a no-confidence vote, which could lead to national elections if the coalition cannot agree on a new cabinet.

Diplomatic relations between Russia and the West are officially at their lowest point in history, with Russia declaring a new cold war against the West and the U.S. continuing to impose sanctions against its fellow superpower.  Many people believe the world is dangerously close to an all out World War 3 scenario, and experts say that 2016 will be the year it ignites. Democratic presidential candidate and former secretary of state, Hillary Clinton resorted to barking like a dog to get her message out about the unreasonableness of the Republicans, during her rally in Reno, Nevada on Monday night. National Review reports: The Democratic candidate hit her GOP rivals for saying the economic crash of 2008 was caused by “too much regulation on Wall Street,” prompting her to launch into a story about one of her favorite political ads she heard on the radio during her husband’s run for governor in Arkansas.
