The Doomsday Clock, maintained by the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, will remain at at 3 midnights to midnight the group announced, indicating the world remains in “grave danger”. The Doomsday Clock is a symbolic clock face, representing a countdown to possible global catastrophe (e.g. nuclear war, World War 3, climate change). It has been maintained since 1947 by the members of the Science and Security Board of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. The closer they set the Clock to midnight, the closer the scientists believe the world is to armageddon.

Russia have demanded that the US Treasury Department backup their claims that President Putin is “corrupt” by providing evidence.  Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov has accused the US government of making up the accusations saying that “none of these questions require an answer, because they are pure fiction“. Pravdareport.com reports: Earlier, Adam Szubin, the officer in charge of sanctions at the US Treasury Department suggested that the Russian president was enriching his friends and close allies while marginalizing those whom he does not consider his friends.

Italian authorities have said that they fear that Italy will soon “crumble” as an expected tidal wave of 400,000 immigrants looks likely to arrive in the coming weeks, Italian sources say.  According to experts, the worse is yet to come as Italy becomes a last stop for thousands of migrants entering the Italian peninsula.
