After the Trump Jr. "bombshell" thoroughly runs it's course, which, based on what we know right now, seems inevitable given that the entire premise of the meeting looks increasingly like "inane nonsense" (see: How Hermitage Capital, Ziff Brothers And The Clinton Global Initiative Prompted The Trump Jr. Meeting), the mainstream media will need a new Trump-Russia narrative to fill their airtime.  Barring any new revelations from anonymous sources, as McClatchy points out, that new narrative could very well be focused on Trump's "Jared Kushner-run digital operation."

One month after Texas Democratic Rep. Al Green grandstanded on the floor "I do not do this for political purposes," a second Democrat has now formally introduced his own article of impeachment against Trump. California Rep Brad Sherman follows the same path as Green, accusing the president of obstructing justice during the federal investigation of Russia’s 2016 election interference.

Following Kremlin denials that the 'Russian lawyer' that met with Trump Jr. was 'Kremlin-related', Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday it was preposterous that U.S. President Donald Trump's eldest son was blamed for the meeting.

Hitting back against accusations of Russian meddling in the 206 U.S. elections, Reuters reports that Lavrov asked to be shown "at least one fact" proving Moscow tried to interfere with the democratic process.

Just hours after current President Temer garnered enough votes necessary to block congressional motion that would put him on trial over corruption charges, Reuters reports that former President Lula has been found guilty of on corruption charges and faces 9 years in prison.
