Moments ago an increasingly frustrated President Trump took direct aim at the faux outrage of Senator Chuck Schumer who has relentlessly hammered his administration on alleged ties to Russia and an "election hacking" scandal that Trump has repeatedly dismissed as "fake news."  Tweeting out a picture of "fake tears" Schumer with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump called for an immediate investigation.

"We should start an immediate investigation into @SenSchumer and his ties to Russia and Putin. A total hypocrite!"

Michael Flynn, Jared Kushner, Carter Page and Jeff Sessions, they all have something in common: they all met the Russian ambassador in the US, Sergey Kislyak, the object of non-stop leaks via the NYT/WaPo block, and substantial headaches for the Trump administration. The question in the title is V.I. Lenin’s question. His answer was to create a revolutionary “vanguard” to spread revolutionary ideas among the workers, the economic class that Karl Marx had declared to be the class rising to the ascendency of political power. Finally, democracy, frustrated by upper class interests in its earlier manifestations, would become reality. The workers would rule.

As the mainstream liberal media continues to be handed leaks (on a smaller and smaller and more and more desperate basis) from what appears to be angry ex-Obama-ites lingering in the halls of Washington - ever ready to combat a slight rise in Trump's popularity or shift in the "he's the devil" narrative with some new "the Russians did it"-inspiring drivel - many Americans are growing very weary of the drip-drip-drip of nothingness.

With the Fillon campaign in shambles following a raid of his home by corruption investigators and the subsequent resignation of both his spokesman and campaign manager, and with the republican party now reportedly preparing to replace Fillon with former PM Alain Juppe, the big winner from the ongoing chaos, at least according to one poll, is the centrist candidate Emmanuel Macron.
