Detective From Sex Abuse Unit Charged With Child Sex Offences

A detective in the Metropolitan Police child abuse investigation unit has been charged with child sex abuse offences. Detective Constable Chris Maitland who worked in the force’s sexual offences, exploitation and child abuse command is facing 14 charges. The 40 year old is charged with two counts of sexual touching of a girl under 13 years, five counts of taking an indecent image of a child and seven counts of making an indecent image of a child. The unit he worked for, also known as Sapphire, investigates rapes and serious sexual violence.

For the first time in history, the human species as a whole has gone into politics. Everyone is in the act, and there is no telling what may come of it.

At this point, however, we can say what has come of it: failure. Politics has failed to deliver on nearly every promise it has made since the 1960s, and I think it’s time to hold it to account.

A recent study published in the Journal of Paediatrics suggested that many children are being needlessly prescribed drugs to combat ADHD, when in fact they are just immature. Dangerous psychotropic drugs like Ritalin are widely used to treat children that are frequently misdiagnosed, yet it has been revealed that these drugs are not only ineffective but they also cause the child to suffer even further health problems. There are so many other problems that can look like ADHD, but far too often there is a rush to get a diagnose which prevents the exclusion of other possible causes.
