Keynesianism vs. Reaganism: Professor Richard Wolff Summarizes the Decades-long Struggle & Explains Why It's Important

To Keynes in the early 1930s it was obvious that our capitalist economic system was not working, AND that it would certainly not "self-correct" without an enormous amount of unnecessary destruction and pain. Many millions were unemployed and remained unemployed while huge portions of the country's productive apparatus were sitting idle, producing nothing, providing no jobs. Clearly federal intervention would be required.

"Palestine Can't Wait!"

The Palestinians are alone in this, as they have always been. Their current revolution (of kitchen knives) has so far been disavowed and misreported in a media that seems to only revere and lionize sectarian, head-chopping backward movements on GCC-funded, bought and paid for suicide missions to further dismantle the Arab World into feuding mini statelets only for the benefit of the imperial West and of course Israel.

Paris climate negotiations won't stop the planet burning

The much-vaunted COP21 negotiations in Paris are, despite the claims of world leaders, dead on arrival. Emissions reductions targets are not up for discussion. Those pledges are already on the table, having been put forward voluntarily by each country. Government negotiators in Paris are instead looking at banal details of how and when countries should commit to improving their voluntary pledges...
