Israeli Ministers Have Approved Bill to Remove Online ‘Incitement’
A controversial new bill has been approved by Israeli ministers that will allow courts to order sites such as Facebook and YouTube to remove any material deemed “incitement” They say that such material contribute to Palestinian attacks on Israelis. The Social Media bill, also known as the “Facebook bill,” passed a Ministerial Committee for Legislation vote on Sunday (25 December) and will now be taken up by the country’s parliament.
