The U.S. government were pushing for a war with Syria as early as 2003, Congress documents reveal.  Former US Secretary of State Colin Powell demanded that Syria sever its connections with organisations aiding Palestinians pursuing self-determination on May 2, 2003 – threatening the government with military action if they did not comply. In September 2003 the US Under Secretary Of State John Bolton warned that Syria may be pursuing a WMD program, urging the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee that action needed to be taken.

Americans are fat. And they’re getting fatter all the time.

It was just last month when we showed you a series of graphics that demonstrated how it came to this. In short, average calories available to Americans jumped 25 percent to 2500, between 1970 and 2010. And it wasn’t because the US added a fourth meal to the day.

Officials from public schools in Los Angeles, where 50 percent of the students are Latino, are providing safeguards for their students and their families by restricting unauthorized access by immigration officials. There had been fears that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials were about to raid schools in L.A. to crackdown on undocumented immigrants, mainly from central America, in lieu of recent policy changes and attitudes towards immigration into the United States.

Julian Assange is one of the most wanted men in the world. After a recent tweet, however, he might also be at the top target of Hillary Clinton’s alleged “hit list.”

On Wednesday, the WikiLeaks founder took to Twitter to urge Americans not to waste their vote on President Barack Obama’s former Secretary of State — unless they want the country to be involved in yet another ongoing military entanglement.
