Next Lebanon War Must Hit Civilians, Israeli Minister Says

Israel’s Education Minister says that a war between Israel and Lebanon would result in Lebanon being sent “back to the middle ages.” Naftali Benne said that if war break out with Lebanon, “its infrastructure, airport, power stations, traffic junctions, Lebanese Army bases – they should all be legitimate targets.” His comments followed those by the Lebanese president Michel Aoun, who told Egyptian media last month that Lebanon-based group Hezbollah was an integral part of the country’s government.

US Wants Cambodia To Pay Back Hundreds Of Millions In War Debt

Fifty years after American s B-52 bombers dropped over 500,000 tonnes of explosives on Cambodia’s countryside, Washington wants the country to repay a $US500 million war debt. The demand has prompted fury from the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh. Last year the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen called on the then-president elect Donald Trump to cancel the debt which had grown over the decades with interest. In 2010, he had also asked former president Barack Obama to convert the “dirty” debt to aid.

UN Accuse Turkey Of Committing ‘Atrocities’ Against Kurds Amid Media Blackout

The UN has accused Turkey of committing serious human rights violations against the Kurds amid a complete blackout by the Western mainstream media. The UN rights office says it has evidence of mass killings, torture, rape and other serious atrocities during operations against Kurdish militants in the southeast of the country since 2015. According to a damning United Nations report, “massive destruction, killings and numerous other serious human rights violations committed between July 2015 and December 2016 in southeast Turkey,” has affected 500,000 Kurdish people.
