Over 200 Dakota Access pipeline protesters marched in New York City to honor activist Sophia Wilansky who is facing a possible arm amputation and up to 20 surgeries after pipeline security reportedly threw a concussion grenade. The 21 year old was severely injured by an explosive during clashes with police at Standing Rock in North Dakota on Sunday night. The Obama administration meanwhile, has remained silent amid mounting calls for federal authorities to intervene to stop police violence at Standing Rock after hundreds of water protectors were injured, some seriously.

A 21-year-old woman is fighting to save her arm after she was severely injured by an explosive during clashes with police at Standing Rock in North Dakota on Sunday night. Sophia Wilansky, a water protector from New York claims her arm was “devastatingly injured” when a concussion grenade fired by the police exploded The woman was one of several people that activists said had been taken to hospital for their injuries after a clash between protesters and police, who also doused protesters with water cannon as temperatures dipped below freezing.

Russia Is Reviving Soviet Era ICBM-Carrying "Nuclear Trains"

Russia has conducted successful intercontinental ballistic missile tests intended for its Barguzin "nuclear-train" program. 

The tests for Russia's "railway-based combat rocket system" took place on Plesetsk cosmodrone two weeks ago, Interfax reports and were "fully successful" according to a military source, which would "pave the way for further flight tests." The tests were held to test the missiles' launch readiness, Russian press added.

The Sarajevo ‘War Hostel’ takes tourists back in time to a dark period in Europe’s resent history during one of its bloodiest sieges. Tourists passing through Bosnia-Herzegovina are given the opportunity to experience the siege of the Bosnian capital during the Balkan conflict in the 1990s. Guests will spend their time in war-time conditions, sleeping on sponge mattresses under military blankets and reading newspaper clippings by candlelight. White Lives Matter Clash With Black Lives Matter In Texas

Supporters of ‘White Lives Matter’ rallying in the Texas Capitol on Sunday were met by supporters of ‘Black Lives Matter’ near a monument honouring the contribution of African Americans to the state of Texas. Eight individuals were arrested during clashes as one side called for the “preservation of white people,” and the other for recognition that “refugees are welcome here.” White Lives Matter and Black Lives Matter American supporters each insisted that respective of colour, their lives do matter, with some White Lives Matter supporters openly carrying weapons to argue the point.
