In Stunning Reversal, DHS Says Russians Were Not Behind Attempted Wisconsin Vote Hacking

Just in time for the weekend, the Associated Press reported on Friday that the Department of Homeland Security had notified 21 states earlier that day that their election systems had been targeted by malicious cyber actors. The states and DHS quickly jumped to the conclusion that Russia had ordered the cyberattacks, even though it was reported that the identity or identities of the perpetrators were inconclusive Yet, the news spread like wildfire after readers had been primed as reports of possible infiltartion of state election systems had circulated for nearly a year.

Foxconn To Get $230,000 In Incentives For Every Wisconsin Job Created

To much fanfare, President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced that Taiwanese electronics giant Foxconn, best known for making the iPhone, will build a new plant producing LCD panels in Wisconsin that will bring thousands of jobs to the state. On the surface it's a great deal: in what's being called the largest economic development project in state history, Foxconn plans to build a $10 billion plant that will eventually employ as many as 13,000 people, according to the White House and Gov. Scott Walker.

Electoral College Update: Where The Vote Stands As Of 3:15PM ET

For those following today's Electoral College vote, here is the latest vote tally as of 3:15pm ET:

  • 241 electoral votes had been cast for Trump,
  • 127 electoral votes had been cast for Hillary Clinton.

So far that's in line with That's right in line with the results in the 26 states that have already cast their official Electoral College votes. On election day, Trump won 306 electoral votes on Election Day to Clinton's 232.
