Russian Jets Strike Column Of Terrorists Entering Syria From Turkey

The Russian Air Force tracked and targeted a column of terrorists crossing the Turkish border into Syria on Monday. The terrorists who were mostly Turkmen were caught by the Russian reconnaissance planes as they attempted to enter the Lattakia province from one of the Turkish border-crossings near Yayladagi. Fars News Agency reports: Upon the entry of Jeish al-Turkmen and al-Nusra Front into Syria, the Russian air fleet struck their convoy of vehicles in the Furniluk Forests, ending in the rebel fighters scattering around the border in order to evade the powerful aerial assault.

Syrian Arab Army Seize Strategic Heights In Turkmen Mountains

Syrian Republican Guards have seized territory in the Turkmen mountains overlooking Yayladagi in Turkey’s Hatay Province, an area that was once part of Syria but was annexed by Turkey in 1939. Fars News reports: The Syrian Arab Army’s 103rd Brigade (commandos) of the Republican Guard and their allies are creeping towards the final rebel-held points along the Turkish-Lattakia border after another successful weekend that resulted in the government forces seizing the strategic village of Saraf and its surrounding heights in Jabal Al-Turkmen (Turkmen Mountains).
