Citizens from Arizona have called for an official investigation into voter suppression after last weeks primaries revealed that thousands of votes were deliberately trashed. U.S. Representative Ruben Gallego has confirmed to angry citizens that “voter suppression happened” during a press conference last week. The primary elections were a mess – people lined up for up to 5 hours, polling stations were deliberately low in number as compared to previous years, and news outlets and Arizona state officials declared Hillary Clinton as the winner early on – despite the fact that only a small percentage had actually cast their vote at that stage.
