Theater Of Politics Encapsulated In One Photo

A photo posted on twitter of George W. Bush and Hillary Clinton posing together at Nancy Reagan’s funeral has gone viral after it was posted on Sunday, with many people claiming the photograph encapsulates the phoney nature of politics.  The photo, which shows the former U.S. president embracing the former first lady’s shoulders while holding a tea cup, was posted by David Chalian, CNN’s political director, with a caption reading: “This may be the best photo from Mrs. Reagan’s funeral.” Theblaze.com reports: In the picture, the two ideologically-opposed funeral attendees are captured in an apparently candid moment as they sport wide grins across their faces and seem to look like anything but political opponents — which did not go unnoticed by Twitter commenters who immediately unleashed their varying opinions. This may be the best photo from Mrs. Reagan’s funeral. pic.twitter.com/kX1WZP9mwi — David Chalian (@DavidChalian) March 14, 2016 @DavidChalian Thank you for this.
