Canadian Dies In Car Crash After Posting ‘Don’t worry I won’t speed’

A Canadian boxer died in a car crash with three friends in Dubai after splitting his rented Ferrari in two on impact with a lamppost. Cody Nixon, 24, from Toronto posted an online photo of himself and a sport car with the caption: ‘Just landed into Dubai and picked up the Ferrari! Don’t worry, I won’t speed’. Mail Online reports: Dubai Traffic Police Chief Colonel Saif Al Mazroui said the investigation said the man had managed to fit four people into the sports car, which was designed for only two. Mr Nixon trained at the Motor City Boxing Club and represented Ontario in the Canadian Boxing Championships in 2012. The Canadian had rented the supercar shortly before ramming it into a lamppost in the neighbourhood of Jumeirah Lakes Towers. The three passengers were all thrown from the vehicle. The police spokesman also confirmed that they had been speeding in a 60 km/h (37 mph) zone. Youtube footage has emerged from the crash scene, showing the extensive damage to the vehicle.
