In February, the US won a ruling against India at the WTO. Washington accused Delhi of allowing procurements for solar panels entirely produced in India, which hurt American exports. The US said its solar exports to India had fallen by 90 percent from 2011, when India introduced the restrictive rules.  The WTO panel found the requirement under India’s national solar programme to be inconsistent with its treaty rules.
