Philippines Seizes North Korean Cargo Ship Under UN Sanctions

Amid growing hostilities, the Philippines has impounded a North Korean cargo ship. The boat was seized following tough new UN sanctions introduced as a response to North Korea’s recent nuclear and ballistic missile tests. Speaking on state run radio on Saturday, the Presidential spokesman Manolo Quezon said that the 6,830-tonne vessel, Jin Teng ,would not be allowed to leave Subic port, north-east of the capital Manila, where it had been docked for three days. He also said the boats crew would be deported.

UN Peacekeepers Accused Of Raping Children & Women In 21 Countries

A report published by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon indicates that UN peacekeepers have been accused of sexual abuse in various parts of the world. According to the recently published report, there were 99 allegations of sexual assault in 2015 against UN Peacekeepers in 21 countries and so far not one person has been prosecuted. Young children traded oral sex for food in war-zones while officials looked the other way. UN human rights spokesman, Rupert Colville admitted in May that it was possible that further inquiries would reveal even more unreported instances.

UN Food Aid Lands in ISIS Controlled Territory

Food aid drops by the UN World Food Program which was intended for Syrian civilians in Deir Ezzor city, have reportedly landed in predominantly ISIS held territory. The UN claimed last week that the WFP had successfully dropped 21 tonnes of aid into the city of Deir Ezzor. ALALAM Reports: “Planes dropped the humanitarian help sent by the United Nations into the territory controlled by Daesh. Just two containers ended up in the areas where the Syrian army [is located],” the source told RIA Novosti.

Syria Says Bombed Hospital Was A French Intelligence Network

Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is a front for French intelligence, according to Syria’s representative to the UN. Bashar al-Jaafari defended Assad and Russia from accusations that they had bombed the hospital in northern Syria. On Monday a hospital in Muratt al Numan run by Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) was destroyed by missiles. Independent.ie reports: The MSF hospital in the north-western, rebel-held province of Idlib was bombed twice with two missiles each time on Monday morning.
