Futures, European Stocks Flat As Oil Suddenly Tumbles; Pound Slides

European stocks were flat after starting off strongly earlier, dragged lower by energy stocks. Asian stocks, U.S. futures little changed as oil tumbled with Brent tumbling as low as $45.85/bbl to the lowest intraday since November 30 and taking out a 38.2% Fib support, after a one-minute spike in volume to a day-high 5,208 lots just after 6am, with WTI mirroring Brent's momentum, and falling as much as 98c to $43.22, lowest since November 14.

Just days after the US Commerce Department imposed duties averaging 20% on Canadian softwood lumber, accusing Chinese timber companies of getting an unfair government subsidy, on Thursday round two of the trade war between the US and Canada broke out when Boeing asked the U.S. Commerce Department to investigate dumping, subsidies and unfair pricing for Canadian planemaker Bombardier's new CSeries airplane, a competitor to the Boeing 737, confirming that the trade tensions between the two neighboring countries are set to get far worse.

‘Don’t Do That’: Chilling Warning From FlyDubai Crew To Pilot

A transcript of the chilling final words from the crew of the FlyDubai jet that crashed in Rostov-on-Don killing 62 people has been released. A Russian TV station aired the last words exchanged between the pilot and the crew, one minute before the Boeing 737 hit the ground. Last words of the pilot: “Don’t worry.” The Mirror reports: The transcript suggests that a pilot error could be to blame for last week’s disaster. However formal investigations are still ongoing.
