Russia have released photographs that show Stonehenge being rebuilt between 1954 to 1958, allegedly on the orders of the British government. For decades official Stonehenge guidebooks have been full of fascinating facts, figures and theories surrounding the world’s most infamous prehistoric monument. What the brochures do not mention, however, is the systematic rebuilding of the 4,000 year old stone circle in the 20th Century. The information is markedly absent from the guidebooks and info-phones used by tourists at the site.
The British government is waging an information war in Syria by funding media operations for some of the so called moderate rebel fighting groups. The campaign is aimed at boosting the reputation of what the UK government calls the “moderate armed opposition”, those fighting the legitimate Syrian government. Thousands of those moderate terrorists crossed the border into Syria this week. Moon Of Alabama reports: The U.S. government, via its CIA, has financed the “moderate” anti-Syrian mercenaries fighting against the legitimate Syrian government with at least $1 billion a year.
The British Government is to spend almost £10 million of taxpayers’ money sending leaflets to every household in the country setting out their case for Britain to stay in the European Union. The move has been described by leave campaigners as “disgraceful” Boris Johnson said it was wrong to try to “stampede” voters while Nigel Farage said the document was “full of lies”. Downing Street signed off on plans to spend £9.2m printing and distributing a 16 page glossy leaflet outlining why Britain would be better off in the EU.
Russia may sue the British government for slander over comments made in the wake of the inquiry into the death of Alexander Litvinenko, the country’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said. During his annual press conference on Monday, Lavrov stressed that the results of Robert Owens inquiry, which concluded that Russian President Vladimir Putin had ‘probabaly’ sanctioned the assassination of Litvinenko, would “seriously complicate” ties with the UK. Press TV reports: Litvinenko, a former KGB agent and a critic of Putin, died of polonium poisoning in London in 2006.
