Is it fake news when on MLK weekend Loretta Lynch issues a scorching 164 page report blasting Chicago police for using force on Blacks 10 times more often then Whites... but nowhere mentioning that Blacks are murdered 15 times more often than Whites, or that Blacks are the murders 20 times more often than Whites, or that Police are 30 times more often to be killed by a Black than by a White? Seems like a shot in the face at Jeff Sessions and a gift to BLM and civil rights leaders, in the final hour...

Chicago's rash of violence, which resulted in over 800 homicides in 2016, a 20-year record high, has seemly focused its sites on a new type of victim, Amazon delivery drivers.  Accorded to a CBS affiliate, just last night another armed robbery occurred in Chicago's violent South Side neighborhood as two masked gunmen held up a driver and stole several packages.  According to CBS this was only 1 of at least 12 similar incidents over the past month. 

2016 was a record breaking year for the city of Chicago, unfortunately just not in any positive ways.  Throughout 2016 we noted several grim milestones that plagued the Windy City: the deadliest month in 23 years, the deadliest day in 13 years, 4,300 people shot...the list goes on and on.  And, as we noted a couple of weeks ago, when it was all said and done Chicago was thought to have recorded around 762 murders in 2016 (see "Chicago Violence Worst In 20 Years: 'Not Seen This Level Of Disrespect For Police Ever'").  To put those numbers into perspective, Chicago recorded o

One week before Chicago is set to sale $1.2 billion in new debt, it has been revealed that Mayor Rahm Emanuel has been putting pressure on Moody's, the only rating agency to have a junk-rating on the city's general obligation debt, to rescind their rating.  According to a letter Emanuel sent to the CEO of Moody's, the Chicago Mayor has grown concerned that the "Moody’s rating methodology and agenda are far from objective and independent."  Per Bloomberg:

Update 3: Jordan Hill, 18, of Carpentersville; Tesfaye Cooper, 18, of Chicago; Brittany Covington, 18, of Chicago; and Tanishia Covington, 24, of Chicago; were each charged with aggravated kidnapping, hate crime, aggravated unlawful restraint, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and residential burglary, according to the Cook County state's attorney. Hill was also charged with robbery and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
